Blackburn resident injured in head-on collision with snowplow blade
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a Blackburn resident was injured in a head-on traffic crash with a vehicle, which had a snow plow blade attached in Lafayette County on Tuesday. The crash occurred just after 5:30 a.m. on Missouri Highway 20 at Salt Fork Road.
According to the report, the accident occurred as the snow plow blade attached to an eastbound 2009 International truck driven by Shane Sheaffer, 20, of Odessa, reportedly crossed the center of the roadway and struck a westbound 2001 Ford F150 driven by Robert Steffens, 24, of Blackburn. Steffens’ vehicle then traveled off the left side of the roadway and came to a rest.
Steffens was transported by E.M.S to a hospital in Marshall for treatment of moderate injures. Sheaffer reportedly was not injured.
