Marklin “Mark” D. Kloeppel
Marklin “Mark” D. Kloeppel, 49, of Mayview, died on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, in a trucking accident in Madison County, Ind.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, at Hoefer Funeral Home in Higginsville. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at the Hoefer Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Born Aug. 6, 1969, in Kansas City, Missouri, he was the son of the late Leo Kloeppel and the late Angeline Jacobs Kloeppel. He was the husband of Yao Kloeppel, marrying Aug. 15, 2009.
He was a truck driver for 27 years and was currently employed with J.B. Hunt Transportation. During his trucking career he spent seven years in Iraq sub-contracting for the United States government as a truck driver. He lived most of his life in Mayview and went to school in Odessa.
Surviving are his wife, Yao Kloeppel; two step-children, Natthawut “Champ” Donpalao of Mayview and Patchara “Jar” Laksanapi of Independence; two brothers, Mike (Diane) Kloeppel of Warsaw, and Mitch Kloeppel of Grain Valley; two sisters, Shelly (Larry) Randolph of El Dorado Springs, and Sheila (Dan) Crabtree of Independence; two step-grandchildren, Mia Rose Sloan and Mae Bunnisa Hudson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William Kloeppel.
