Judy Schlueter, 96, of Concordia, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at Good Shepherd Care Community in Concordia.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, at St. Paulís Lutheran Church in Concordia, with Rev. Michael Pottschmidt officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in St. Paulís Lutheran Cemetery in Concordia. Pallbearers will be Larry Welch, Mick Welch, Mark Welch, Ken Welch, Charles Schumacher and Cole Greashaber. Memorials may be made to St. Paulís Lutheran Church or Good Shepherd Care Community in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Born Feb. 5, 1922, in Ernestville, she was the daughter of the late Edward Welch and Hilda Eggers Welch. She lived in Concordia most of her life and was a graduate of Concordia High School. On May 18, 1940, she married Oliver Schlueter, who preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 2014. She worked for Emma Creamery for over 40 years and was a member of St. Paulís Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Connie Brackman (Richard) of Concordia; four grandchildren, Randy Langkraehr, Kelly Schumacher, Wendy Greashaber and Joseph Brackman; four great-grandchildren, Rebekah DeLaCruz, Cole Greashaber, Charles Schumacher and Casey Greashaber; three siblings, Eugene Welch (Catherine) of Liberty, JoAnn Opfer of Concordia and Kenneth Welch (Doris) of Chevy Chase, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Sue Schlueter; one sister, Carole Welch; and one brother, Maurice Welch.
