Saints softball falls to CHS in week’s lone contest
The Saint Paul Lutheran High School Saints softball team had a light week of games, playing just once and losing to I-70 Conference foe Concordia High School, 14-4. Despite the tough result in their only competition of the week, it could pay off for the Saints as they look to come into the I-70 Conference Tournament and Class 1 District 16 Tournament rested and ready to go.

A tough result met the Saints in their sole contest of the week, a 14-4 loss to Concordia High School.
Concordia put up a single run in the first inning but four each in innings two and three, leaving the Saints in a hole they wouldn’t be able to claw out of.
Despite the disappointing performance through four innings, the Saints showed perseverance in putting up four runs, all of which came with at least one out.
Freshman Hailey Arnold drove in two runs with a single, while freshman Carleigh Stockman and senior Rachel Gresham also collected one hit apiece.
The Saints fall to 5-6 (2-6) with the loss.
Concordia’s record improved to 15-5 (6-2) in victory.
