Concordia Police Department executes drug related warrant in Concordia

At 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, April 18th, 2019, the Concordia Police Department with the assistance of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, executed a narcotics related search warrant in the 1500 block of S. St. Louis Street in Concordia.
During the execution of the warrant, Kimberly French, 48, of Concordia, and Loretta Wood, 52, of Concordia, were both taken into custody on a 24-hour investigative hold for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
On April 18, 2019, both defendants were charged with two felonies each: Delivery of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana or Synthetic Canaboid, and Felony Keeping or Maintaining a Public Nuisance. Preliminary hearings were scheduled for April 22, and then rescheduled for May 1, 2019.
Bond for French was set at $15,000 cash or surety, while bond for Wood was set at $25,000 cash or surety. Both included special instructions of no drugs and no alcohol, and the defendants are to submit to random drug/alcohol testing as directed by law enforcement, the court, or a probation officer.
NOTE: All individuals taken into custody are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
