Tuesday, May 14, 2019

While it is important for a team to prove themselves on the field of play, the Concordia High School Orioles baseball team took it a step further and found excellence in their most important arena: the classroom.

Five Orioles were named to the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association Academic All-State team.

Orioles honored for their academic prowess were senior Matthew Gatewood, junior Peyton Moore, junior Brayden McGinnis, junior Jaren Adams, and sophomore Austin Droege.

Additionally, the Orioles had the second highest team GPA in the state (3.5) and received an Academic All-State Team Award.

The MHSBCA also revealed the Orioles remained steadfast as the No. 2 team in the state for Class 1.

Congratulations to the Orioles’ talented scholars and the five O’s named to the All-State squad!
