Sluggers continue dominance in victories

The CFM Sluggers Majors softball team continues to be the cream of the crop, running through Concordia Civic Club 14-0 on Wednesday, June 12, and McCracken Farms the following night, 16-1.
Addison Roepe stood out in both games, hitting a grand slam and throwing a complete game no-hitter on Wednesday and delivering four hits — including her second home run of the week.
The Sluggers finished their regular season undefeated with the victories at 13-0. Their run differential ended at 197-7.
The Sluggers moved to 13-0.

Wednesday, June 12 — League game — 8 p.m.

Concordia Civic Club was no match for the Sluggers in their Wednesday night matchup, falling 14-0.
Addison Roepe’s grand slam put her in line for a six RBI performance. She went 2-2 with three runs scored. Abby Jones and Emily Wilkens also scored three runs, while Olivia Hemme also finished with two hits and three RBIs.
From the pitcher’s circle, Roepe was also sensational, striking out nine hitters and allowing just two walks in a four inning no-hitter.
The victory advanced the Sluggers to 12-0 on the season.

Thursday, June 13 — League game — 8 p.m.

Multiple sluggers hitters saw the ball well against McCracken Farms on Thursday, following a high-powered offense to a 16-1 victory.
Addison Roepe led the way with a 4-4 performance highlighted by a leadoff home run and a double in the fourth inning.
Kiya Inman (3-4, double) and Abby Jones (2-4) also recorded multiple hits.
Olivia Hemme went three innings from the rubber with seven strikeouts and a walk. Inman finished the game out with a two strikeout inning. She also allowed a hit and a walk.
The Sluggers regular season concludes with a 13-0 record.
