Lions knock off Britts in Majors championship

The Lions Majors baseball team earned a spot in the LaCoMo East Little League championship match against Brittís on Saturday, and they didnít disappoint. Behind a great offensive performance, the Lions won their second straight championship, winning 10-3 and completing their season with a perfect 14-0 record.

Brayden Reed led the way with three hits ó including a home run ó and four RBIs. One of Drayven Hoganís two hits was also a home run. Hogan and Caleb Fuehring each drove in two runs. Fuehring and Sam Roepe each clipped doubles, while Ryan Kunkel also collected two singles.

The Lions also got great performances from two pitchers. Fuehring struck out 10 over 4 2/3 innings, while allowing just one walk and four hits. He gave up one earned run and two runs total.

Peyton Trautman closed the game out with three strikeouts over 1 1/3 inning. He allowed two walks and one hit and run apiece.
