Ora D. Borgelt
Ora D. Borgelt, 103, of Concordia, Missouri, died Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Good Shepherd Care Community in Concordia.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2019, at St. Paulís Lutheran Church in Concordia, with Rev. Paul Mehl officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Care Community or charity of donorís choice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born July 21, 1915, in Sweet Springs, Ora was the daughter of the late Alvin Dierker and Emma Weber Dierker. On April 17, 1938, she married Herbert R. Borgelt, who preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 2010. Ora lived in central Missouri her entire life and was a homemaker. She never had idle hands and was continually doing various forms of needlework, cooking and canning. Ora was an active member of St. Paulís Lutheran Church and participated in the Quilters, Braille ministry, Altar Guild and Ladies Aid #3.
Survivors include three daughters, Doris Cline (Ed) of Jamestown, N.C., Joanne Reinke (Markus) of Concordia, and Phyllis Stuerke (Neal) of Sweet Springs; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ora was preceded in death by three sons in infancy; a sister in infancy; and two brothers, Melvin Dierker and Lester Dierker.
