Holden residents injured in two-vehicle traffic crash
Two Holden residents sustained injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Lafayette County on Sunday, Oct. 20.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as Daniel McBryar, 17, of Sweet Springs, reportedly fell asleep and his eastbound 2005 Toyota Avalon overtook and struck the rear of another eastbound 2010 Ford Focus driven by John Morris, 45, of Holden. McBryar’s vehicle reportedly traveled off the roadway and came to rest, and Morris’ vehicle struck a guardrail, overturned and then came to rest.
Morris and a passenger in his vehicle, Peter Morris, 17, reportedly were transported by E.M.S. to a hospital in Warrensburg for treatment of minor and moderate injuries, respectively. McBryar reportedly was not injured.
The crash happened at 8 a.m. at the 58-mile marker on eastbound I-70.
