Women Landowners Ag Conference celebrates 19 years
For 19 years, women with a passion for agriculture have been meeting at the Women Landowners Ag Conference. With over 34,000 farms and 7.4 million acres owned by women, Missouri ranks second in the nation for farms with a primary female producer. The Women Landowners Ag Conference gives woman a venue to network and learn more about issues that affect their way of life. This one-day event takes place Thursday, Nov. 7, at the Concordia Community Center.
Presented by Farm Service Agency and University of Missouri Extension, along with a dedicated committee of volunteers made up of women in Johnson, Lafayette and Ray counties, the conference provides a fun educational day of networking. This year’s conference will cover topics such as soil conservation, estate planning, the 2018 Farm Bill, and coping with Alzheimer’s/Dementia in elderly family members. All are invited to attend.
