Thursday, Oct. 24 — I-70 Conference — Saint Paul Lutheran HS
Saint Paul 1 (15-25, 25-18, 25-23)
Junior MH Lauryn Bonar - 11 kills, six aces, no serve errors, one block.
Senior MH Kayla Muehler - seven kills.
Senior OH Brooke Lange - seven kills, 13 digs.
Senior Libero Anna Herl - 12 digs.
Senior Setter Katie Wing - 12 assists, 13 digs.
Sophomore DS Carleigh Stockman - two aces, eight digs.
Lange: “A very exciting match, with both teams determined not to let the ball hit the floor. Concordia’s middle hitters really put the pressure on us and were especially tough to stop. Adversity came early for the Saints when Ina Traavik went out with an injury early in the first set. Ina is perhaps the most complete player on the team - a strong hitter, defender and server.
I was pleased by our whole team's positive attitude, especially Carleigh Stockmann, Grace Hartwig and Autumn Muehler who stepped up in Ina's absence and played hard.”
The Saints advance to 15-14-2 (4-3) after the busy week ahead of districts.
