Comments
I want to give credit to Lexington. After a rough first set, they made some adjustments, played very hard and almost won the second set.
The match against Lawson was tied when one of their best players went out with an ankle injury, which certainly changed what looked to be a likely three-set match.
I especially want to recognize sophomore Grace Hartwig, who didn’t play like a sophomore, filling in at outside hitter for the injured junior Ina Traavik.

Comments — Sectional against Summit Christian
Anna Herl got us off to a great start with a few early aces, but we then showed some nerves, struggling from the serve line. Our 10 serve errors for the match helped keep the score a little too close for comfort. Our two middles, Lauryn and Kayla, helped control the court with 14 kills between the two of them, which were set up by solid passing and setting.

Comments — Quarterfinal against East Buchanan
East Buchanan has two hitters with over 250 kills each, so we knew we had to serve tough so their passing would be off-target and try to slow down their attack. Though we made eight serve errors, East Buchanan had more errors than kills on the day, which changed the complexion of the game. Lauryn Bonar was also a big part of that, with a season-high five blocks to go with her nine kills. Hanna Utne hit well from the right side, with seven kills against only two errors. Junior Autumn Muehler provided great support off the bench at right side hitter for her injured cousin senior Hope Muehler during the first set of the day.
