Benson added to Harmon College Advisory Council
Local community leader Jami Benson was recently selected to serve on the University of Central Missouri’s Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies Advisory Council.
The Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies created a new Advisory Council with members who are experienced, highly motivated professionals, and leaders in their field. Selections were based on having the proven experience and skills aligned with the Harmon College’s ambitious, long-range goals. The Harmon College Advisory Council is dedicated to provide advice, guidance, and support to the dean to assist the Harmon College faculty, staff, and students achieve its mission and fulfill its vision.
Benson has been employed for the past 19 years by State Street Corporation, a publicly-held American financial services and bank holding company headquartered in Boston with operations worldwide. She currently serves as vice president of Global Technology.
Benson graduated from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in business administration. She has been an active volunteer in our schools and community, and currently serves as the vice president for Concordia Main Street Inc., and as vice president for the Concordia R-2 School Board. Benson said she was delighted with the selection to serve on the advisory council.
“What a fantastic opportunity to give back to my alma mater,” she said. “I am passionate about helping students achieve educational excellence and preparedness for the fast-changing world. These are the young folks that will mold and shape the future of our community and beyond.”
Jami and her husband, Eric, reside in Concordia with their daughter, Kaleigh, who is a sophomore at Concordia High School.
