Concordia School Board sets filing dates for board candidates
During the Nov. 14 regular meeting of the Concordia School Board, the board set the filing dates for those filing for school director positions in the election to be held April 7, 2020.
The district is obligated to give notice of the election, and a statement was issued stating that notice is herby given to the qualified voters of the Concordia School District No. 2 of Lafayette and Johnson counties that an election will be held within the district on April 7, 2020, beginning at 6 a.m. and closing at 7 p.m. The reason for the election will be to select three school board members for a term of three years each.
Superintendent Brent Cooper recommended board filing start on Dec. 17 and end on Jan. 21, 2020. The district offices are required to be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first and last day of filing. The board set the remainder of the dates and times for filing as follows:
óDec. 17: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
óDec. 18-19: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
óDec. 20: 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
óDec. 23-25: Closed.
óDec. 26-27: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
óDec. 30-31, 2019 and Jan. 1, 2020: Closed.
óJan. 2-3: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
óJan. 6-10: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
óJan. 13-17: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
óJan. 20: Closed.
óJan. 21: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
