Lafayette County Children’s Service Fund announces new executive director
Lafayette County — The Lafayette County Children’s Service Fund Board of Directors voted last week to hire Colby Dowell to serve as executive director.
Dowell is an Odessa native and graduate of the University of Northern Colorado.
Board Chair Tahnami Gittinger stated: “I believe Dowell will serve as an able advocate for the fund, while ensuring oversight and accountability of funded agencies. We are happy to have him on board and look forward to his positive and pro-active interactions with the community.”
The Lafayette County Children’s Service Fund was created following voter approval in 2005 as a one-eighth of a cent sales tax measure — pursuant to RSMo ss67.1775 and RSMo ss210.861.
The fund’s mission is to provide quality, comprehensive training and services to protect the well-being and safety of children and youth 19 years of age or less and to strengthen families in Lafayette County. Learn more by visiting www.lccsf.org.
